About

Christine Seow is a Singaporean filmmaker based in London and alumni of the National Film and Television School (NFTS), graduating with a Master's in Directing Documentary.

 

Her short film Two Travelling Aunties (2025) premiered at Inside Out and Doc Edge, before travelling to over 25 international film festivals. It also won Best Student Short at KASHISH Pride Film Festival and Best Documentary at Eye Catcher Short Awards, and was nominated for the prestigious IDA Documentary Award, and Sony Future Filmmakers Award 2026.

 

Her other films include Beyond These Walls (2024), nominated for a Grierson Award and longlisted for the British Short Film Awards, Rojak Romance (2017), and 21 (2022), which is available on Apple TV.

 

Besides short films, she has also dabbled in series work. Her short documentary series, While You Sleep, won Best Documentary at the Asia Web Awards 2018.

 

She is drawn to intimate, character-driven documentaries that explore identity, belonging, and the paths less travelled
